Birth Doula Support

Why hire me to be your doula?

As a certified birth professional, I can help you be informed of the medical aspects of labor and delivery. However, I do not make any medical decisions or assessments. I provide constant physical and emotional support to the mother, the partner and to do what I can to achieve a positive birth experience.

I provide hands-on support for pain or relaxation. I will suggest different positions and movements which may ease the baby into a better position. I will provide encouragement when things get tough and extra support is needed.

Birth is hard work, but I believe in you and I am here to support you. I will remind you of your care preferences but I am never going to make decisions for you. I am there to comfort you and provide non-judgmental support. Whatever you decide to do, I always be by your side to support, educate, and encourage you.

Not just for moms…

As a doula, I will never replace the role of your support person. On the contrary, as your doula I will enhance and complement their role as your birth partner.

Being familiar and comfortable with birth, I will suggest ways to get your partner involved if they feel unsure of how to respond as well as providing reassurance that all is well.

An extra set of hands also means that your partner can be more free to provide emotional support and comfort.
