Certified Doula & Childbirth Educator Kim Sabin

Hello, my name is Kim Sabin and I serve women throughout Washington County as a doula and childbirth educator. I am a mother of three beautiful children and wife to my amazing husband. When I am not attending births, I can be found at home with my family or traveling to our favorite get away destinations. I enjoy watching my husband compete in triathlons or Ironman races. I like to take spin classes on our Peloton bike. I spend a lot of time cheering on my kids in their different sporting and school events. But, most of the time you can find me cleaning and organizing my house. I have a major sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate and ice cream.

My passion for birth is something I’ve had from a very young age. My earliest memories were spent thinking about all things pregnancy, birth, and babies. My own journey with motherhood has only deepened this love. Each birth is truly a miracle! This is what led me to becoming a Birth Arts International Certified Birth Doula.

I believe everyone has a different idea of what a perfect birth is. When a woman feels safe, listened to, and respected in her birthing experience, she will feel empowered in that birth. When a woman makes informed decisions for herself and her baby; she will feel empowered as a mother. Birth is a significant life event and research shows that the day your baby is born is a day you never forget. As a doula and an educator, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based information, inspiring confidence and helping women and their partners have a positive birth experience.
